The National Convention releases their debut. Don't be the indecisive type! Get this record today.
The brainchild of Easthampton's own Eric Poulin, who wrote all the songs for his loungey supergroup project, rings true with clear influences from artists like Burt Bacharach, Laura Nero, and The Magnetic Fields...on one track in particular ("Twenty Dollar Guitar").
Eric worked closely with longtime friend and recording engineer Eddie Downey on the album over four years, and enlisted a cast of Valley musicians and singers, including: Matt Hebert, Ken Mauri, Ann Pinkerton, Mark Schwaber, Matt Cullen, Jose Ayerve, J. Johnson, Lori Shine, Stefan Cressotti, Jim Elliot, and Mike Wyzik.
Check out The National Convention on MySpace, or on the juke box at The Brass Cat bar in Easthampton, and keep your ears open for a CD release show this Spring.
